Where to buy luxury craft pieces in London.

From 24th May for 4 months, you will be able to buy some of the most professionally produced luxury craft pieces in London.

Mayfair`s The New Craftsmen will be transforming a back-street garage like no other, where guests can buy, commission and experience new pieces created by their growing stable of British craftmakers.

The New Craftsmen launched in 2012 and works to promote and sell craftsmanship from the British Isles, from a selection of Britain`s finest makers, working in textiles, silverware, furniture, ceramics, jewellery, glassware and beyond.

The New Craftsmen`s ethos resides in artisanship, traditional skills and craft being used in contemporary ways. Some of the New Craftsmen include;

Billy Lloyd – award winning potter with a clean and considered aesthetic

Laura Carlin – contemporary illustrator and ceramics artist with cult followers

Catarina Riccabona – exciting new handweaver working in linen, hemp, wool and alpaca

Aimee Betts – bringing traditions of embroidery to the forefront of contemporary design practice

Chris Eckersley – furniture designer-maker and `bodging` aficionado

Robin Wood – traditional wood worker, turner and carver specializing in local timbers and techniques

The space of The New Craftsmen Garage is designed to engage visitors with the physical world and its elements; an enchanting setting in which to learn and interact with material, makers and skill.
