Nobu Berkeley -Luxurious new cocktail menu released!
Nobu Berkeley Street have just introduced a new bar menu of cocktails that have been created specifically to compliment their cuisine. These new cocktails work to enhance the taste of their more delicate dishes, such as the sashimi and have been inspired by the dining menu’s ingredients – none of which you’d find on the average kitchen shelf! They include sake ,a variety of Japanese spirits, Jasmine tea, pickled ginger, Japanese basil and Yuzu syrup.
These new cocktails make sure that you can taste the quality of Nobu Berkeley’s food. The bar staff are trained to recommend drinks suited to your dish that will compliment the intense flavours. Nobu only uses the best Sake available, by trying this into a cocktail before sampling the food itself is a great way to get taste buds at the ready.
The new version of their cocktail menu uses a range of only the best quality ingredients from all over the world, including the traditional Japanese ingredients (Yamazaki whisky from Japan’s oldest distillery, Ume Shu, a sweet and sour japanese liqueur made from steeping ume fruits in alcohol and sugar, Hokusetsu sake – which is made exclusively for Nobu) and from other countries (Zubrowska Bison Grass Vodka which is produced in a region on the Polish-Belarusian border, Evangelista Limoncello, Mandarine Napoleon – a high-quality Belgian liqueur made from tangerines, cognac and a secret recipe of botanicals).
This is typical Nobu ‘new-style’ behaviour: combining traditional Japanese ingredients and cooking methods with those of other cultures (Nobu food uses South American influences) And as ever Nobu Berkeley Street have tried to keep the ingredients of the cocktails as natural as possible – they use agave nectar rather than honey as this has a purer taste
The flavoursome cocktails can be enjoyed in their stylish and sophisticated bar, where a stunning decorative tree climbs a gorgeous tiled wall decorated with tea lights . The seating area is minimalistic, in keeping with the Nobu ethos, and in the evening is the perfect place to relax and be seen. The bar is a huge favourite with locals and celebrities alike, celebrity fans including Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole, Dita von Teese, The Beckhams and David Walliams and his wife Lara Stone. There is no excuse not to book in and banish those summer blues…
