Rooms here are a lavish, spacious and luxurious offering. We were lucky enough to stay in an executive suite (I believe!) came with a large, open living space, widescreen tvs, a desk area and a beautifully finished bathroom. On the whole, the look of the hotel is sharp, chic and modern – just the way we like it. Complete with the hotel essential, a Nespresso machine and Temple Spa toiletries, you have all of the luxury extras provided here to have a relaxing stay. Separate storage space completes the perfect home from home experience, especially for longer stays in the capital.

Dining – Lowndes Bar & Kitchen

The Lowndes Bar & Kitchen is again a small, yet ideally formed, affair. In a contemporary, modern and British style, you can enjoy the freshest of dishes and top class drinks to boot. On our visit I sampled the monkfish in Serrano ham and I have to say the balance of zingy, fresh flavours and the saltiness of the ham were a great flavour combination here.

The staff here were also unbelievably helpful; my partner for example requesting a few `off piste` cocktails and the results came up trumps. With cocktail classics and twists on classics such as daiquiris all being on the money. Certainly a restaurant we will return to and recommend for an evening meal or a lunch time bite to eat.

Ski and Skate package

Our review was based on the Stay and Skate package (although we weren`t offered the skating) and we have to say the package seemed worth every penny.

The Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel is just a short walk to the iconic skating rink at the Natural History Museum.
