Butterfly Cannon Tequilas 40% ABV

Now for something a little bit different. Butterfly Cannon Tequila takes its name from the migration of butterflies from the US to Mexico, the super-premium Tequila is made from 100% Agave and produced in Mexico’s most awarded distillery, Destiladora del Valle de Tequila.

Each of the Butterfly Cannon expressions is made from 7-8 year old agave harvested by hand and baked in traditional steam ovens before being mashed, fermented and distilled. Once distilled the tequila rests for 30 days in American oak barrels before being charcoal filtered. A portion of their profits help support butterfly conservation across the US and Mexico – a very worthy cause.

Butterfly Cannon Blue Tequila

The range incudes the world’s first colour-changing tequila, The Butterfly Cannon Blue Tequila, infused with prickly pear and clementine. The unusual natural blue colour changes when a mixer such as tonic or lime is added. For real!

This is as tasty neat with a squeeze of lime as it is in a cocktail. It has a stunning blue hue, which changes colour when different mixers are added to it. If this doesn’t get you experimenting, then I don’t know what will! This has a clean taste, with a hint of sweetness that will have you coming back for more.

Butterfly Cannon Rosa Tequila

The range also includes The Butterfly Cannon Rosa Tequila, a delicious grapefruit infused tequila, which makes for an easy Paloma and The Butterfly Cannon Silver Cristalino Tequila.

This also has a really clean palate, which offers up sweet and tart citrus flavours layered with rich agave taste. Yum!

Butterfly Cannon Silver Cristalino Tequila

Balanced, bright, rich, round and smooth, Silver Cristalino offers up earthy agave, toasted oak, and black pepper. Additional time brings out vanilla and lime notes. It fades with vanilla buttercream and buttery agave. The finish leaves a sprinkle of black pepper, saline, lime peel, and sweet earthy agave.

There’s a lot going on here, plenty to enjoy for tequila lovers for sure.
