Stunning Four Seasons Hotel Crowning Glory for Guangzhou International Finance Center
If you are looking for one of the real highs (excuse the pun) in luxury during 2013, then you can`t get much better than the newly established 33 floor Four Seasons luxury hotel at the top of the Guangzhou International Finance Center (Guangzhou IFC) in China. Reaching an impressive 440m in height, the award winning skyscraper designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects is a majestic sight to behold.
Rising 103 storeys above the Pearl River, the Four Seasons Guangzhou occupies the top third of the new Guangzhou IFC. Arranged around a breathtaking full-height atrium, itself taller than St Paul`s Cathedral in London or the Statue of Liberty in New York, the 344 luxurious guest rooms and suites are among the most modern and spacious in the city, with unrivalled views of the Pearl River.

The atrium balconies have been sculpted by Wilkinson Eyre so that when viewed from the atrium they recall the building`s diamond shaped steel `diagrid` structure. This is accented at night by futuristic lighting design which artistically illuminates the handrails throughout the atrium.
As one would expect, the hotel offers a fully equipped spa, fitness centre and an astonishing infinity pool with spectacular views of the city below. Guests can admire the view from the 100th floor restaurant and from a range of dining venues, including Japanese, Cantonese and seafood restaurants as well as an Italian café. Three formal ballrooms give over 3,500 sq meters of event space for weddings, social occasions and conferences.
Dominic Bettison, Director at Wilkinson Eyre Architects said:
`After working on the project for over six years, it`s remarkable to see the last piece of the jigsaw fit into place. We set out to create a smooth, elegant tower and, when visiting the hotel, it`s clear that the Four Seasons and the interior designers understood what makes the building special.
