Skive & Toole London’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection – leather goods for the English Gentleman
New to the men`s accessories scene this brand features vintage inspired messenger bags, holdalls, laptop carriers and wallets to help men look stylish when on their daily outings or long weekends.
Dawn Cunningham, Creator of Skive & Toole London says,
`I love nothing more than finding a beaten up vintage bag & re-working it into something special. The collection has a traditional almost vintage look, with hidden twists, like a bright coloured lining or a contrast leather trim.
I wanted to avoid the usual black wallets & safe colours that already saturate the market.
I love products that create a reaction!
I want a guy to smile when he picks up a Skive & Toole product, otherwise there`s no fun in shopping!`
Inspired by Gentlemen`s sport memorabilia Skive & Toole have added their own unique signature twist `New Meets Vintage` to the SS10 collection. The ranges take on the names of sporting heroes – and I`m a little ashamed to admit I don`t really recognise the names! Sorry lads! I`m sure you`ll know who I`m talking about though.
Croc embossed leather styles and jet black holdalls make up the `Boateng` range whilst `Hitchcock` takes inspiration from the cricket field and features wearable bags and wallets with the use of supple whiskey leather and satchel influenced buckle detailing. The last range `Stirling` is inspired by the British racing driver Stirling Moss. A hint of the 1960`s can be seen in the sports holdalls whilst the use of orange, white and mocha pinstripe set against chocolate leather help to break away from the usual styles you see with men`s bags these days.
I think a lot of women will agree that they love a man who knows how to dress and these luxurious yet affordable leather goodies from Skive & Toole London are perfect for adding a pure gentlemen`s edge to an outfit. You guys are taking more of an interest in fashion lately so these `man bags` are going to be a huge hit!
Prices range from £25 for wallets to £165 for holdalls.
