MyHotel Chelsea review – The best 4 star accommodation in Chelsea – By far

I have had the good fortune of enjoying an overnight break to London last month. It was a part business/part pleasure trip so I needed a hotel near the centre of London and close to a tube station.

MyHotel Chelsea fitted my requirements nicely. This super hotel is located in the centre of all the glorious architecture Chelsea has to offer and I was very impressed.
Based in South Kensington, the hotel offers great leisure options including shopping on the Kings road or visiting the nearby museums.

The outside has the `Boutique` look and being an avid antique fan, staying in this fabulous old building made my stay perfect.

What you get with MyHotel Chelsea is a high level of luxury, coupled with the same level of friendliness and professionalism – it`s a hard to get combo.

When I entered the reception area, the reception was framed with the original wooden boards painted white. Antique furniture, also painted white, held water and cups with a cute display of muffins. Immediately I felt relaxed and at home with this cosy welcoming cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The decor throughout the hotel was delightful, and I loved that the original building was left intact where possible, with the original floor boards, old style cupboards and deep windows – I would have stayed forever.

This hotel was once a Police Staton! MyHotel Chelsea have managed to retain many original features and keep things a la mode at the same time -Clever. So many hotels completely redecorate and rip out the `character` of the building. It is probably cheaper to do this, but MyHotel Chelsea was a dream come true to an antique lover.

I stayed in a Superior Double and it looked exactly as featured in the brochure. Gorgeous bed linen, huge cushions and luxurious silky curtains framing a delightful view of beautiful old buildings.

The en-suite was also a thrill with windows within the doors (similar to 200 years ago) and delicate silk curtains ensuring privacy.

I will definitely return to this super 4 star hotel in Chelsea (how is that possible? 5 stars beckon, surely) in the future as I truly enjoyed every minute of my stay.
