Monarchy and Matrimony at the Ritz
With the marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton just weeks away, I am hoping the historic event helps the nation remember its pride and traditions.
It will do us no harm to embrace the Royal Wedding and remember just what makes Britain Great.
Talking of pride and tradition, The Ritz has launched a fabulous programme in tandem with the Royal wedding, `Monarchy and Matrimony`.
The Ritz and Royalty go hand in hand – The Duke of Windsor dined and danced in The Palm Court, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 80th birthday and The Prince of Wales awarded the hotel the honour of a Royal Warrant.
The Ritz, located moments away from Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, plan to celebrate the Royal Wedding with some superior packages.
Starting with what is a quintessentially British institution of `Afternoon Tea at The Ritz`, with pastries, scones and finger sandwiches whilst screens stream live coverage of the wedding throughout the day.
Priced from £50 per person, Afternoon Tea will also include a commemorative souvenir Menu and an exclusive limited edition chocolate heart bearing the initials of the Royal couple.
If your invite to the wedding has `been lost in the post`, maybe Afternoon Tea is the next best option! (not to mention outstanding value)
The Royal Wedding Brunch at The Ritz Restaurant is another great opportunity to soak up the opulence of this grand London landmark on such an important day.
Recently awarded the prestigious accolade of 3 Rosettes by the AA for Culinary Excellence, The Ritz Restaurant will host an extravagant Royal Wedding Brunch between 10:30am and 3:30pm.
Themed food stations will offer a wide selection of hot and cold dishes whilst an outdoor grill on the terrace will be at the ready, taking advantage of the spring sunshine. Screens streaming live coverage of the wedding will be displayed throughout the room.
Priced from £150 per person, the Royal Wedding Brunch includes a glass of Champagne to toast the happy couple, a commemorative souvenir Menu, and an exclusive limited edition decorative keepsake embroidered with the initials of the Royal couple and their wedding date.
Priced from £1,460 (excluding VAT), the Monarchy & Matrimony programme is available exclusively to guests who check in on Thursday 28th or Friday 29th April 2011 and includes:
• Two nights` sumptuous accommodation in a Louis XVI inspired room
• Flowers, fresh fruit and a bottle of Champagne in-room on arrival
• Royal Wedding Brunch in The Ritz Restaurant
• A unique and exclusive limited edition commemorative gift
• English breakfast each morning
The Ritz, another reason to find pride in our great Nation.
