Atmos clock by Jaeger LeCoultre
There are no other words to describe the Atmos clock, other than absolutely stunning.
As well as it’s visual beauty, the Atmos has a perpetual motion capability generated by an innovative atmospheric system.
The system works by using gas and liquid ethyl chloride in a sealed capsule, which expands and contracts according to temperature. The temperature changes cause a spiral spring to turn and wind a central spring. If as is claimed, one degree of temperature change provides two days of power – why can’t this be scaled up for other domestic uses?
Anyway, this tasty time piece is limited edition to 888 so I wouldn’t mind betting that this will be a great investment for the future.
