NAIM Audio unleashes all-in-one top end audio player

British high-end audio manufacturer, Naim Audio has launched its latest addition to the hugely successful Uniti series of all-in-one audio players, the UnitiQute 2, which includes new multiroom functionality – bringing the ultimate sound quality to every corner of the home.

The UnitiQute 2, a new revitalised version of the multi-award winning UnitiQute, is at £1150 RRP, Naim`s most cost-effective entry-level, all-in-one audio player to date. New functionality and even further improvements in sound quality mean it is set to carry on Naim`s tradition of world-beating audio performance, enabling an even wider range of passionate music lovers to experience the highest levels of audio performance.

Real `Party Mode` with true Multiroom functionality

Multiroom functionality is a new feature now available on all Naim streaming products. It enables customers who have multiple Naim music streaming products like the UnitiQute 2 in their home, to play the same song in different rooms simultaneously, in perfect synchronicity, without any echoes or delays.

Listeners simply nominate one Naim unit as a master streamer and broadcast audio from it via its UPnP, iRadio or USB/iPod to up to four other Naim streamer `clients` connected to the same network. It`s as straight forward as selecting `Rooms` from the setup menu via the front panel buttons on the unit, or via remote control or n-Stream app.

The `master` will then stream music over the home audio network, enabling master volume control and track selection across the whole house. For example, set a SuperUniti as the master in the lounge and it will stream to the UnitiQute 2 in the kitchen, the NaimUniti 2 in the dining room and the UnitiLite in the study. Alternatively hit the n-Stream `Party Mode` button to bring every room online simultaneously. The resolution of the master track is up to 24bit/48kHz, with the stream to `client` players at 320kbps in MP3 quality.

For even greater sound quality, the UnitiQute 2 has also improved on the leading performance of its predecessor with a completely new main board and optimised internal layout, introduced by Naim`s engineers after intensive listening tests. And, with Party Mode and multiroom functionality as standard, the UnitiQute 2 is one of a complete range of Naim products with Multiroom functionality including the NDS, NDX, ND5 XS, SuperUniti, NaimUniti 2, UnitiLite, and NAC-N 172 XS.

UnitiQute 2 is shipping now at £1150 whilst Multiroom and Party Mode will be available through a free software update in June 2013.
