We would definitely recommend the London Sights flight and although 18 minutes doesn’t sound like long enough, the tour starts from Battersea and takes you from West to East London along London’s windy infamous River Thames, where you are able to spot all those popular recognisable landmarks.

We arrived 30 minutes before departure to allow enough time to check in. It’s advisable to get public transport or park up in one of the nearby car parks, as there is limited parking at the heliport. We waited in the small yet comfortable departure lounge, and it was great to see other helicopters come and go. A few minutes before our departure we were taken into another waiting area where we were given a 5-10 minute safety briefing and shortly afterwards we were fitted with our life jackets. Once seated in our places on the helicopter, the pilot began to give us a running commentary of landmarks and pointed our places of interest in the distance- fortunately the clouds cleared and sun shone for us! The most impressive thing is that you can see for miles and miles around, seeing airplanes and other helicopters in the distance is surreal and the notion of being up high but literally flying just above famous landmarks is totally awesome! During the entire flight there were fantastic opportunities to take video footage and photos of this memorable once-in-a-lifetime trip. To round up, this experience is totally exhilarating and perfect for thrill seekers!
