The Making of Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tours is a truly magical experience

It might seem clichéd to say, but this tour really is magical and if you are a fan of Harry, this tour is a must. The new Making of Harry Potter Tour at Leavesden Studios lets you step right onto the set of the most famous movie series of all time, with the original sets, costumes and props all on show from all eight films. Plus, as of the 31st of March, there is a brand new Forbidden Forest section to get your teeth into!

Fancy a walk along Diagon Alley?

One of the most impressive aspects of the tour is the sheer level of detail and scale to the sets. For example, one of the first things you will see on the tour is the spectacular Great Hall, just as it is in the movies. That’s not all! There is also a full sized set of Diagon Alley, Hagrid’s Hut, Dumbledore’s Office, glimpses of the Ministry of Magic set, Snape’s class room and a scale replica of the entire Hogwarts grounds. Take a look:

The astounding details of each sector provide access to the world of Harry Potter the way you have never experienced before. Breath-taking handmade props, full character costumes and thousands of wands are just a fraction of the objects you can see from the films.

Capturing the memories

Aside from taking your own snaps, there is also a range of professionally shot opportunities for memorable photo and video moments. These come in the form of a flying lesson on your very own broom stick. This video is taken in front of a green screen (as it would be for the films) and then real backdrops from the film are integrated with your flying. This gives the impression of you flying around Hogwarts and other locations. Similarly, you can also take a right aboard the Hogwarts express and put yourself in the action there too! Beware, there are few sneaky death eaters out to get you!

Plus, you also have the opportunity to indulge in a Butterbeer in the Lot Café – so remember to take a snap of this too!

New Forbidden Forest exhibit

According to the Warner Brothers website, the new Forbidden Forest sounds as though it is just as impressive as the existing exhibits!  They say: “The Forbidden Forest may be strictly off-limits to Hogwarts students, but for the first time this March, you are invited to defy Professor Dumbledore’s orders and follow the footsteps of Harry, Ron and Hermione deep into the grounds of the Forbidden Forest.”

Combine an enchanting visit to the world of Harry Potter with an exquisite afternoon tea at the equally magical De Vere’s Hunton Park Hotel. The new Making of Harry Potter Tour at Leavesden Studios lets you step right onto the set of the most famous movie series of all time, with the original sets, costumes and props all on show from all eight films. Take a stroll down Diagon Alley or tread the stone floor of the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Even have your picture taken flying a broomstick, or guzzle down a Butterbeer!

Afternoon Tea at Devere Hunton Park

Just a 10 minute drive from the Studio Tour, you will find Devere Hunton Park and this is where afternoon is held. A modern establishment with sweeping grounds, this is a good setting to indulge in a scone or two!

Your experience also includes a delicious afternoon tea, complete with tasty cakes, pastries, finger sandwiches and scones with clotted cream and jam. Of course you will also be treated to a hot pot of tea or coffee too. Tea is served from 3pm to 5.30pm.
