Blek Le Rat joins the World`s best Street Artists with The Opera Gallery

The most stunning art exhibition of the year is to take place in London on 9th November. The leading street artists from across the globe join together to become `The Urban Masters`.

Now, for the first time ever, Opera Gallery London & ANV harness the brilliance of 33 of the most important urban and street artists of our time as they pay homage to those art masters, masterpieces and muses who have inspired them throughout history.

I am excited!

The Urban Masters reads like a who`s who in the art world today. Works span from canvasses, installations, moving art, photography, pop-art, street art and much more! This is an unmissable show.

Taking place in a fittingly urban but inspirational setting; a former Victorian factory in Shoreditch- Factory 7, from Friday 9th November until Sunday 18th November, you can expect to see the legendary Blek Le Rat, as well as Shepard Fairey, Nick Walker and Ron English!

Some of the artists –

BLEK LE RAT: The `Godfather of street art` was born in Paris in 1951, he began his artwork quietly in 1981 painting stencils of rats on the street walls of Paris, when Banksy was still at primary school

SHEPARD FAIREY: Born in 1970, a contemporary artist, graphic designer and illustrator who is best known for his “Andre the Giant has a Posse” sticker campaign and his work during the 2008 United States Presidential Election, specifically his much publicised & Barack Obama “Hope” poster.

NICK WALKER: Born in 1969, he emerged from the infamous and ground-breaking Bristol graffiti scene of the early 1980s In 2008, his iconic Moona Lisa sold over ten times its estimated value at auction at Bonhams. His work has also been embraced by the record, fashion and film industries.

RON ENGLISH: He has created illegal murals and billboards that blend stunning visuals with biting political, consumerist and surrealist statements, hijacking public space worldwide for the sake of art since the 1980s.

Expect big queues on the 9th November as visitors clamour to claim their free poster featuring artists from the show!
