The Westin – Luxury 5 Star Hotel In Dublin

I was excited at just what the Westin Dublin would offer. This luxury 5 star hotel in Dublin wins awards year in, year out. After my stay, I am struggling to find fault -anywhere.

The Westin Dublin hotel is located on its own city block in the centre of Dublin. Just opposite Trinity College, the location is superbly convenient. Literally city centre.

This historic building was formerly a bank. The transformation into Dublin`s leading hotel has been sympathetic to both the building`s heritage and to its future guests.

A Westin Library Suite
We stayed in one of the hotel`s library suites, which was split level. Having another storey to spread out in gives the impression of more space, so much better than having an additional area on the same level.

It is this unselfish use of space that really impressed.

Take the five storey glass-roofed Atrium Lounge. This huge open space within the building is an oasis of calm. Some developers would just think of the bucks, of the extra rooms. The Westin, instead, has a wonderful interior space absolutely perfect for relaxing after a trek around Ireland`s capital.

The Atrium Lounge
All of the 163 guest rooms and suites are spacious and equipped with everything you might expect. The Westin Heavenly Bed©, which offers ‘ten layers of heaven’, does just that. It`s difficult to match the comfort of your own bed at home but, the heavenly bed, in all its glory, is a triumph.

I haven`t slept better in a hotel!

The Westin was built around the old bank building. The restoration is a complete success, fusing old and new seamlessly. The magnificent Banking Hall serves as the signature feature of The Westin Dublin hotel. Dating from 1863, it has an ornate ceiling, original hand-carved pediment over the entrance, and four chandeliers crafted from 8,000 pieces of Egyptian crystal.

The acoustics are awesome!

There are many dining options at the Westin Dublin, and can be as relaxed as you might prefer. I used to live in Dublin, so I know my way around. The Westin may possibly have the best breakfast in Dublin.

So, the hotel really does have it all. A wonderful and understanding team of staff, a friendly welcome, a great location, stunning rooms with those amazing beds (!), impressive food and a superb use of space.

If you are looking for the best luxury 5 star hotel in Dublin, Lussorian just found it.
