Madame Zingara London Review
I`d never experienced anything like this before but I loved the sound of combining an evening with an all-new food experience with a heady fusion of irresistible theatrical acts – Madame Zingara sounded like such fun and just up my street!
Founded in 2002 by Richard Griffin, Madame Zingara was a famous restaurant right in the heart of Cape Town renowned purely for it`s gastronomic delights. Over the years it attracted visitors from all around but in 2006 sadly this iconic restaurant was lost to a fire, leaving little more than a burnt out shell.
Over the last few years Madame Zingara reinvented itself as the Theatre of Dreams, which not only offers a unique dining experience but a truly exhilarating theatrical show!
On the 12th December 2008 Madame Zingara`s Theatre of Dreams arrived direct from South Africa and landed right beside Battersea Power Station. Zingarians will get to share a really intimate show performed by talented acrobats, four fabulous cabaret singers, actors and circus-like performers, whilst enjoying a mouth-watering authentic 4-course meal. You`ll get to choose from four main popular signature dishes carefully selected from the former Madame Zingara restaurant menu and enjoy the breathtaking show beneath one of the world`s only remaining Spiegeltents. Sit beneath the acrobat performers while they mesmerise you with their routines that take place right above your heads and metres away on their turntable stage!
Indulge in this spectacular thrilling theatrical show and decadent dining experience all under one roof – dress up, dress down, anything goes!
Madame Zingara`s Theatre of Dreams comes highly recommended for New Year`s Eve. Why not enjoy an intimate evening with a loved one or book a larger table and share the show with friends, either way you`ll undoubtedly love what the Theatre of Dreams has in store for you.
