The Ultimate Celebrity Night At The Pink Ice Ball! This Friday!
Last week on Lussorian, we featured the Vanessa necklace . This necklace was made more special by the fact 10% of the retail value of each necklace would be donated to Breast Cancer Awareness.
With this in mind, how could I not mention the annual Pink Ice Ball?!
Biggins, King Of The Jungle
The Pink Ice Ball is a charity ball aimed at raising funds for Cancer Research UK. The event is organised by Gina Symmons who has been diagnosed with breast cancer three times since 1999. Her father, John Gerrard Keulemans, died from breast cancer two years ago.
Since 2002 Gina’s energy and determination has ensured that the Pink Ice Ball is a great success in raising money and the evening is now renowned as being one of the most glamorous nights of the year. Fundraising event ideas don`t get to be any better than this.
The 2007 ball, held at The Waldorf, raised over £120,000 and was supported by a number of celebrities including Westlife, Jade Goody and Patsy Palmer.
The 2010 Pink Ice Ball will feature a fashion show by the Danish – born designer Isabell Kristensen. For the past decade, the name Isabell Kristensen has remained synonymous throughout the glamorous world of Haute Couture.
A real incentive to the ball (of course, not forgetting the fund raising aspect) is the chance to walk away with some stunning prizes.
Isabell Kristensen will be donating a made-to-measure dress to the charity auction on the night. Another key highlight of the ball, the auction gives guests the opportunity to bid for a variety of glamorous prizes.
Willy Wonka style Golden tickets to win a bottle of the world’s most expensive perfume, by Clive Christian, will be available at an exclusive raffle at the 2010 Pink Ice Ball. Just 1,000 bottles are released each year.
A pink sapphire and diamond ring has been donated to the 2010 Pink Ice Ball by Harry Collins, Crown Jeweller, of G Collins and Sons. Mr. Collins became personal jeweller to Her Majesty the Queen in 2001 and has his own jewellery workshop within Buckingham Palace. The ring has been valued at approx £6,000 and will be one of the exclusive items to be won on the night.
The stars come out on this special celebrity night too.

At the 2005 ball, Dannii read aloud Kylie’s first public announcement on her cancer and raised a tremendous amount of awareness on the issue and work of Cancer Research UK.
The 2010 Pink Ice Ball will be held at: The Hurlingham Club, London SW6 on Friday 8th October 2010.
