Dóttir Freedom On-Grid earphones review

Beginning life as an idea between 2 Icelandic CrossFit champions, and friends, Dóttir is an exciting new brand of wireless headphones designed for the most physical of activities.

Representing strength and empowerment, the Dóttir Audio project started over two years ago aimed at CrossFitters like Katrin and Annie. After trying out numerous headphones, the ladies went on a mission to create something truly hardwearing, comfortable and likely to keep the wearer motivated through even the hardest of work outs.

The result is nothing short of outstanding, boasting loads of innovative features including (non-exhaustive list):

So how did we get on with our trial…

Firstly, our Dóttirs didn’t disappoint. I like to think I’m an active chap who loves to run, work in the garden, swim and generally enjoy the beautiful English countryside, therefore I need a sturdy, comfortable set of wireless headphone I can truly rely on.

Now, over the past 2 years, I’ve likely been through 5 different sets of wireless headphones, which almost always end up in the bin after refusing to go the distance I need them to – my biggest gripe being that unless you pay big bucks, you just don’t get anything that lasts.

At a price point of £120, Dóttir might have a number of competitors, these are outshone by the quality and sturdiness of design – in my view you can’t fault what you get for the money. These are 100% built to last, and last they will. Personally I love the sleek design, and especially appreciate the 12 hour play time, and 5x additional charges that the super sturdy case delivers. But most of all, the level of comfort and depth of sound (I love bassy music!) is hard to match in my view.
