Bloomsbury Street Hotel Offers Educational Getaway
The Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Hotel runs the most fantastic book club in London. We have reported on this before, but this month`s book choice requires another mention.
The Luxury London hotel has chosen `Selected Poem`s by T.S.Eliot`, a perfect literary classic to see in our glorious springtime. Critic in residence Chris Moss – the literary editor of Time Out magazine, was responsible for this month`s choice.
Chris Moss explains why he chose this classic as part of the hotel`s book club, `one can`t think of spring without imaging young couples picnicking in the park and reading poetry so I thought introducing such an incredible collection of poems to the hotel would be the best way to kick off the warmer season`.
`T.S.Elliot is one of my favourite poets and `The Waste Land` is a poem that I think everyone should read as there are characters and situations with the text that are still applicable to London today`.
The Bloomsbury is entwined in literature and is the absolute perfect setting for such a book club. The striking art installation, featuring Virginia Woolf`s Mrs Dalloway, made up of pages from the celebrated novel, dominates the hotel`s spacious reception area.
The Bloomsbury is also considered the hotel of choice for London`s Literati – with Sarah Waters, Dave Boling and Nick Hornby all recently spotted at the hotel.
With 174 stunning rooms, a sumptuous restaurant serving fine wines and seasonal dishes, and the British Museum only moments away, you are guaranteed an educational getaway.
Curl up in the book snug and lose yourself in the world of one of the all time greats of the literary world and, if you can`t bear to tear yourself away, you can take the book home – ensuring that everyone can enjoy a true literary classic this April.
